Wine
Hentley Farm Shiraz blends fruit selected from several blocks of the estate vineyard at Seppeltsfield in the Barossa Valley. Each block varies in microclimate, soil and clone type.
Once destemmed, the fruit ferments with 2-3 pump overs daily. Following extended maceration on skins, the juice is pressed and settled for malolactic fermentation in French and American oak barrels.
The wine spends 10 months ageing before it is blended and bottled without fining or filtration.
Dark purple, Hentley Farm Shiraz has layers of intense dark fruit flavours and soft, savoury tannins. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
